Immune Support Tonic. White Blood Cells & Immunity.Anti-Cancer Medicine

White blood cells are humble workers who, among other functions, devour debri s. When the body is effectively fighting cancer, there is die off that the white blood cells have to eat. Immunity can be boosted by the right choice of products that increase the effectiveness of white blood cells. In dark field microscope ex amination of live blood cells, it becomes immediately clear that active white blo od cells are what "clean" the red blood cells and enable them to function properl y. "Killing disease" is thus more a matter of boosting the activity of the immune cells than of poisoning the body with chemicals with a supposed selectivity for cancer cells.

Many chemotherapeutic drugs are derivatives, usually synthetic, of plants. Fo r example, vincristine and vinblastine are derivative of the Madagascar periwinkl e whose vinca alkaloids have significant anticancer actions. Taxol, an alkaloid t hat inhibits cell division, comes from the Pacific yew (Taxus brevifolia).

There are more varieties of cytotoxic herbs than there are chemotherapeutic d rugs. Hartwell researched all references to cancer herbs spanning 5000 years and 2,500,000 herbs. Of these, at least 3000 possess some anti-cancer activity. This is the same figure used by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Exactly how and wh y an herb addresses cancer differs enormously from plant to plant, but we will ne ver learn as much as we need to know unless the companies performing the research can isolate an active ingredient that they can develop into a patentable drug. I personally oppose these efforts because in their whole forms and working in syne rgy with other herbs, the cytotoxic actions are often buffered by the protective actions. Thus, while interested in what science finds and how it comes to explain traditional ethnobotanical uses, I am cautious because profit motivation and tun nel vision can sometimes operate against the wisdom of the ages.

In any event, our starting point is that we have at least 3000 herbs with pro ven anti-cancer actions. Some arrest the fermentation process upon which the canc er cells depend for survival; some are directly toxic, more to the tumor than hea lthy tissue; some inhibit cell division; some affect the pH in such a way as to r educe the risks of metastasis. Finding the particular combination that works best for any particular individual and situation is a matter of using the available i nformation and making an educated guess. This is not trial and error, but applied empiricism.

Research indicates that both these plants have unique active constituents tha t assist the body¡¯s natural defense system. these herb extracts used in the trea tment of chronic diseases, including most forms of cancer, ulcerative colitis, mu ltiple sclerosis, all types of herpes infection, chronic arthritis and almost any immune deficiency, including AIDS.

Studies on plant original anti-cancer material in the 70¡¯s and continuing th rough today suggest that they have applications in the treatment of cancer, arthr itis, gastritis, ulcers, rheumatism, acne, organic depression, bursitis, genital herpes and herpes zoster, allergies, systematic candidiasis, diabetes, lupus, chr onic fatigue syndrome, PMS, irregularities of the female cycle, environmental tox ic poisoning, numerous bowel and intestinal disorders and those infected with the HIV virus.

Herein after we suggest some most professional plant exracts with functions o f anti-cancer as following:

¡Ñ¡ºChinese Schizandra berry (Schizandra chinensis) ¡»: Actions: Tonic, adaptogen, aphrodisiac, mild stimulant, deep immune activator , antioxidant. Common Use: Schizandra fruits or berries contain various lignans, mainly schi zandrins, these lignans have been found to prevent liver damage, stimulate liver repair, and stimulate normal liver functioning. These properties appear to be rel ated to the various antioxidant abilities of the various schizandrins. Schizandra also helps in digestion, regulating gastric acid release. Other studies have sho wn that extracts of schizandra are stimulating to the central nervous system and are cholinergic. There have been numerous reports on schizandra's ability to quic ken reflexes, increase work efficiency, control anger and combat neurasthenias (h eadaches, insomnia, dizziness, palpitations). Other reports have mentioned increa sed cognitive function and increased memory. A recent study concluded that schiza ndra may be a useful herb to reverse depression, particularly that due to adrener gic exhaustion. Recent research studies have indicated that schizandra has numero us biological activities, including: anti-bacterial, mild stimulant, liver protec tive, anti-depressant, antioxidant, adaptogen and cardiac tonic. In Oriental Medi cine, schizandra is recommended for the lungs, liver and kidneys, including as an aphrodisiac ( kidney element). ¡Ñ¡ºAnti-Cancer Choice:Trans-resveratrol as Polygonum Cuspldatum P.E.?¡»: Specifically trans-resveratrol can help inhibit all three stages of cancer by :

Inducing quinone reductase activity, an enzyme that is capable of detoxifying carcinogens. Inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase, a substance that causes the production of prostag landins that stimulate tumor growth, suppress the immune system and activate carc inogens. Inducing the expression of nitroblue tetazolium reduction activity, a marker of non-specific acid esterase activity and macrophage formation. Furthermore trans-resveratrol can inhibit the development of cardiovascular d isease. This is performed through its ability as an antioxidant to inhibit platel et aggregation and eicosaniod synthesis and its ability to modulate lipoprotein m etabolism. ¡¤¡¸More¡¹:For more research topics for this material, click as following==> Polygonum Cuspldatum P.E. ¡Ñ¡ºRheum palmatum L.var.tanguticum Maxim.ex Rgl.Root P.E.(synoms:Rheum root P.E.)¡»:Emodin

¡Ñ¡ºEmodin(C15H10O5)98%95%90%HPLC(Origin:Rheum Root)¡»: Emodin is a naturally occurring anthraquinone present in the roots and bark o f numerous plants of the genus Rhamnus. Extracts from the roots, bark, and/or dri ed leaves of buckthorn, senna, cascara, aloe, frangula, and rhubarb have been used as laxatives since ancient times and currently are widely used in the preparatio n of herbal laxative preparations. Anthraquinone glycosides are poorly absorbed f rom the gastrointestinal tract but are cleaved by gut bacteria to produce aglycon es (such as emodin) that are more readily absorbed and are responsible for the pu rgative properties of these preparations. There is extensive exposure to emodin a nd other anthraquinones resulting from the use of herb-based stimulant laxatives. Reports that 1,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone, a commonly used laxative ingredient, ca used tumors in the gastrointestinal tract of rats raised the possibility of an as sociation between colorectal cancer and the use of laxatives containing anthraqui nones. Anti-aggregant*Anti-cancer*Anti-feedant*Anti-inflammatory*Antiseptic*Antiulce r*Myorelaxant Because emodin is a hydroxyanthraquinone structurally similar to 1,8-dihydrox yanthraquinone,is present in herbal laxatives, and was reported to be mutagenic in bacteria, it was considered a potential carcinogen and was selected for in-depth evaluation. Male and female F344/N rats and B6C3F1 mice were exposed to emodin ( at least94% pure) in feed for 16 days, 14 weeks, or 2 years. Genetic toxicology studies were conducted in Salmonella typhimurium, cultured Chinese hamsterovary cells, rat and mouse bone marrow cells, and mouse periphera l blood erythrocytes. Emodin (3-methyl-1,6,8-trihydroxyanthraquinone) inhibits TNF-induced NF-B act ivation, IB degradation, and expression of cell surface adhesion proteins in huma n vascular endothelial cells Most inflammatory agents activate nuclear transcription factor-B (NF-B) which results in expression of genes for cytokines, adhesion molecules, and enzymes in volved in amplification and perpetuation of inflammation. Emodin (3-methyl-1,6,8- trihydroxyanthraquinone) is an active component from the roots of Polygonum cuspi datum that has been reported to exhibit antiinflammatory properties but the mecha nism is not known. In the present study we investigated the effects of emodin on the activation of NF-B in human umbelical vein endothelial cells (EC). Treatment of EC with TNF activated NF-B; preincubation with emodin inhibited this activatio n in a dose- and time-dependent manner. Emodin did not chemically modify NF-B sub units but rather inhibited degradation of IB, an inhibitory subunit of NF-B. Sinc e the promoter regions of ICAM-1, VCAM-1, and ELAM-1 contain NF-B binding sites a nd these adhesion molecules are involved in the attachment of leukocytes to EC, t he effect of emodin on the adhesion of monocytes to EC and the expression of thes e adhesion molecules was also studied. Treatment of EC with TNF for 6 h increased the adhesion of monocytes to EC, which correlated with increases in cell surface expression of ICAM-1, VCAM-1 and ELAM-1. Pretreatment of EC for 1 h with emodin inhibited both monocyte-EC attachment and expression of ICAM-1, ELAM-1 and VCAM-1 . These results indicate that emodin is a potent inhibitor of NF-B activation a nd expression of adhesion molecules and thus could be useful in treating various inflammatory diseases. ¡¤¡¸More¡¹:For more research topics for this material, click as following==> Rheum Palmatum Root P.E. ¡Ñ¡ºWolfberry Extracts and Wolfberry polysaccharides¡»: Wolfberry polysaccharides as good immunity enhancer(Support healthy immune sy stem): Wolfberry polysaccharides from wolfberry has good function to enhance immunit y, researchers do experiment on about 20 case of original liver cancer, the patien t arranged taste Wolfberry polysaccharides togethor with chemical treatment, and g ood for immune system benefit and prolong life. Modern medical research prove tha t the Wolfberry polysaccharides from wolfberry good for cure cancer caused by dam age of body immune system, and also best for cure many kind of immune system bug.

Many studies have shown wolfberry fruits increase the lymphocyte transformati on rate and improve the macrophage phagocytic function in animals. LBP assists sp leen lymphocyte transformation induced by Concavalin A5. LBP increases the antibo dy reaction to T cell-dependant antigen (SRBC) which means that LBP selectively s trengthen the T cell immune response6. LBP enhances the T cell immune response by increasing the number of E receptors on the surface of T cells or increasing the numbers of T cells directly. ¡¤LBP also can be used to reduce lead toxicity because LBP inhibits the reduc tion of T cells and delayed allergy activity induced by lead. ¡¤One study was done on seniors in China. This study showed after taking wolf berry, lysozyme, IgG and IgA in serum increased in all participants. The activiti es of interleukin 2 (IL-2) were found to increase 2.26 fold in two-thirds of the participants. ¡Ñ¡ºLutein as cancer inhibitor and Immunity Enhancer¡»: Lutein as cancer inhibitor and Lutein as inhibitor of tumor: Lutein consumption has also been associated with reduced risk of heart diseas e and cancer of the cervix, breast and lungs possibly due to its anti-oxidant abi lity and concentration of these carotenoids in these body tissues, even during di seased states. A recent study by Tufts University and Korean investigators revealed a dramat ic 88% drop in breast cancer in women who had the highest blood concentrations of lutein. Lutein and its oxidative metabolites in chemoprevention of cancer: Carotenoids are abundant in fruits and vegetables and have been proposed as c ancer protective compounds because of their antioxidant and provitamin A activiti es. Lutein, an abundant carotenoid in many fruits and vegetables but without vita min A activity, has been shown to possess strong antioxidant capability in labora tory studies. Results from the present clinical study from Beltsville demonstrate that lutein and zeaxanthin, an isomer of lutein, are partially oxidized in vivo to several metabolites. These observations confirm the antioxidant activity of lu tein in vivo which supports one of the proposed cancer protective mechanisms of c arotenoids. Results and conclusions from these studies will benefit the diet and health community as well as policy makers. Lutein as cancer inhibitor: Researchers at the University of Utah Medical School found that the highest c onsumers of lutein (a mere 2.4mg daily) were 17% less likely to develop colon can cer than those who ate the least (300 micrograms). Generally, the more lutein con sumed, the lower the risk. High lutein also has been linked to fewer lung, prosta te and ovarian cancers. In animals, lutein even slowed the growth of breast tumors. In test tubes, it killed cancer cells. Lutein(Marigold Extract) as enhancer of immunity and inhibitor of Mammary tum ors The effects of dietary lutein from marigold extract on the development and gr owth of a transplantable murine mammary tumor and onlymphocyte function were inve stigated. See the Experiment as following: Mice Experiment of Lutein Against mammary tumor Mice were fed a diet containing 0.1% or 0.4% of lutein. In experiment 1, mice were fed on the diets for 3 weeks and infused with mamm ary tumor cells into the mammary gland. Result show that dietary lutein increased tumor latency and inhibited mammary tumor growth in a dose-dependent manner. The incidence of palpable tumors on day 28 post-infusion and final tumor weight were lower in mice fed lutein. In experiment 2, dietary lutein enhanced phytohemagglutinin-induced lymphocyt e proliferation but had no effect on interleukin-2 production or lymphocyte cytot oxicity. Therefore dietary lutein increased tumor latency, suppressed mammary tum or growth and enhanced lymphocyte proliferation.

¡Ñ¡ºAstragalus¡»: Astragalus is a popular immune boosting herb that is not well understood by m ost patients. It is probably the herb of choice for anyone needing to restore T-cell counts , something almost as important to cancer patients as to those with AIDS. It does not seem to have any direct effect on malignancy, meaning it is not c ytotoxic, but it strengthens the immune system in such a way as to make the battl e with cancer somewhat less taxing on the patient. This herb was quite rare outside of China The Chinese name for astragalus means something to the effect of "respected y ellow tonic." The roots are harvested after 4-5 years of growth and usually sliced into str ips that resemble tongue depressors. ¡¤¡¸More¡¹:For more research topics for this material, click as following==> Click for More Details http://www.mdidea.com/products/herbextract/astragalus/data.html Astragalus P.E.
